Introducing Ben Harter
- Outboard Division Service Manager
Ross Marine is excited to welcome Ben Harter as our Outboard Division Service Manager. We are excited about the expertise and service skills he will bring to our customer base. Ben has earned his reputation as one of the best in the business. Ben started his training and graduated from the Marine Mechanic Institute in 2000.
Ben moved to Charleston shortly after graduating and began working up the ranks at Hanckel Marine. During his 10 years at Hanckel he received multiple certifications in the outboard industry including Yamaha and Suzuki Outboards. He became cemented in the industry during his time at Hanckel and still carries lasting friendships from his time there.
Next, Ben took a position at Berkeley Outdoors as Service Manager where he managed a large service and parts department for the past 10years. During his time at Berkeley he managed up to 10 technicians completing a wide array of service work on Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki Outboards. He also completed a vast amount of rigging on Center Console boats to include everything from Power Poles to Radars.
Ben relocated to James Island and we were both lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. We are excited to introduce Ben Harter and welcome him to the Ross Marine family.
